The HR Operations Consultant is part of the Business Process Optimization team at Vanderbilt University and is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, configuration, and support of Vanderbilt’s Oracle Cloud Finance and Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of System Consulting, the Solutions Consultant serves as a key partner to operational leaders in Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology.
The Business Process Optimization team is charged with working strategically across the university to build efficient, repeatable business processes, training the community on system changes and best practices, and maintaining Vanderbilt’s Oracle Cloud system. The BPO team is highly collaborative, with a culture focused on supporting each other in getting the right work done the right way.
The Solutions Consultant will have a portfolio of systems for which s/he is responsible for managing the routine operations. This includes serving as a key resource for operational leaders in accomplishing business goals through system configuration. Additionally, this position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to both end users and business process owners, monitoring monthly and quarterly releases from Oracle for system changes, conducting configuration and testing for quarterly releases, and creating detailed analysis of transactional metrics to support process optimization. The Solutions Consultant must be creative, a strategic thinker, innovative, resourceful, and utilize entrepreneurial thinking in meeting challenges.

Monitors release notes for impact of upcomingsystem changes and communicates as necessary
Assists with detailed system testing for processchanges and quarterly releases
Works collaboratively with BPO team, functionalleaders, and information technology to prioritize change requests
Serves as escalation point for end-user supportrequests
Provides ongoing support to functional teams
Serve as source of truth for system functionality
Assists with management of Oracle Service Requests(SRs)
Supervisory Relationships :
This position does not have supervisory responsibility. This position reports administratively and functionally to Associate Director of Solutions Consulting.
Experience and Education :
Bachelor’sdegree and 2-3 years of relevant experience with demonstrated progressiveresponsibility
Modernsystem experience preferred; Oracle Cloud HCM, ERP, P2P, PPM experience a plus
