About the Position:

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and finalizing solutions related to new and existing products, modules and services. The IT Project Manager sets milestones for each project and coordinates efforts between the operations and technology teams, in order to effectively and efficiently deliver projects according to plan. This position works with internal and external stakeholders to bring structure while implementing complex projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish the scope of thework being requested by defining what the project will accomplish, inaddition to the benefits, risks, costs and key stakeholders

  • Create a robust work/projectplan which identifies and sequences activities to successfully complete aproject

  • Manage the project scheduleand report truthfully on the progress of the project

  • Facilitate planning,implementation and stabilization activities for IT- approved projectinitiatives

  • Forecast and manage resources(time, money, equipment, etc.) to meet project goals

  • Recommend informationtechnology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluatingorganization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends;anticipating requirements

  • Coordinate and oversee allphases of the project

  • Maintain a clear and opencommunication path with managers and leadership

  • Maintain quality service byestablishing and enforcing organization standards

  • Work with standard projectmanagement (Planview Enterprise) and office tools

  • Work closely with the Projectteam and Business Analysts to develop and/or update the detailed projectrequirements. Requirements activities may include:

  • Stakeholder interviews

  • Documenting before and afterbusiness processes

  • Review of existingrequirements documentation

  • Demonstration of existingsimilar systems (benchmarking); and requirement walkthroughs


  • Bachelor'sDegree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or IT relatedfield

  • 3-5 years ofexperience working on and/or managing IT project(s) involving theimplementation of SDLC project life cycle methodologies (Waterfall, Agile,etc.)

  • ProjectManagement Institute (PMI) or other project/program managementcertification

  • Experience managing different types of projects (i.e. Infrastructure, Data, Development, etc.)

  • Experiencemanaging operational or project/program financial budgets and leadingproject teams

  • Experience using ProjectManagement tools (i.e. Planview, MS Project, Viso, JIRA, etc.)
