About the Position:
The Sr. Media Support Specialist - Audiovisual (AV) is responsible for Tier 1 support, maintenance of AV systems as well as setup of equipment for classes and events. Additionally, the SMSS manages a pool of student workers to ensure that classes and events are provided support needed for successful outcomes. Other duties include occasional recording of classes and events. Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm with occasional night and weekend work. A customer focused mindset is a must have.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supportof classroom AV systems
Providesetup support for classes and events.
Troubleshootreported issues with AV systems.
Providemaintenance and upkeep of AV systems.
Assistend users with training needs.
Supervisionof Student Workers
Hire,train, and schedule Student Workers.
Ensurethat all Student Worker paperwork is submitted on time.
A combinationof education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree inrelated field or, a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience working withAudio/Video equipment.
Must havedemonstrated good communication skills, client relation skills, and acommitment to providing responsive and conscientious customer service.
Must bedetail oriented with knowledge of a wide variety of software systems,word processing and spreadsheet applications, prefer Microsoft Suite.
Must haveworking knowledge of soundsystems, computers, and live video operations.
Must beflexible and able to adapt to changing needs, multiple task demands, andwork structures.
Ability toread and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, emails, andmemos.
Ability toeffectively present job related information upon request to customers,clients, and employees of the organization.
Provencomputer skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills isrequired.
Ability tosolve practical problems and handle a variety of customer, clients andemployee questions.
Ability tointerpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagramor schedule formats.
